Swim Lessons - Day 4
>> Thursday, July 22, 2010
Jackson continues to amaze me with his ability to learn to swim. He is even grasping the concept of kicking to move himself forward. I should probably note that I hoped this class would have been more of an infant survival swim class. Instead, it's more of a Mommy & Me swim & play class. Don't get me wrong, Jackson is definitely learning to swim and be comfortable in the water. However, I don't believe he could get to the side or float on his back in the event of an accident just yet. I watch my child very closely, but accidents are just that. No one means for their child to fall into a body of water. The thought of a child drowning haunts me, seriously.
I digress. 4 classes in, Jackson is making progress. There's no denying that he loves the water. He also proves to be quite the flirt and social butterfly. {I haven't the slightest idea were he gets this;)} The class was very small this past Saturday so we got a lot of one-on-one time with the coaches.
Jackson was getting pretty tired from all of the individual time he was getting. We're working on grabbing for the side of the pool here.
Jackson is getting good at blowing bubbles these days. He likes to practice in the tub every night.

SO cute! I can't wait to start swimming lessons with my son!
Oh my gosh how cute!!!
He is doing so good. That picture with his entire self under water. Impressive.
I'm glad he's doing such a good job. I love the bubble blowing video.
Your swim lesson posts have me so excited about doing lessons next summer!
I'm glad Jackson is doing so well!
This is awesome!! Way to be prepared, Mom!
How fun! I have tried to look for Mommy and me swwimming classes in my area and they only seem to cater to stay at home Moms. I need to keep looking because it looks like such a great time!
He is soooo stinkin' cute! I definitely see swim lessons in our future. I know what you mean about accidents. We thought about getting an inground pool, but now we're going to wait a few years. No one warned me about the amount of worry that comes with these little precious ones!! :)
I was dying during that video! So cute! I love the patting on the back when little man was choking! Too cute. :)
